As a Product Improvement Engineer II - Electrical:
What you will do:
Identify and execute product improvements and cost out opportunities on electrical and electronics assemblies for released products Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing Select parts and manufacturing processes to achieve reliable product function that satisfies project scope criteria Validate concepts through analysis and testing Design electrical assemblies including PCBs and cable assemblies Support existing product lines by troubleshooting and resolving design issues for cross-functional teams Lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously 5-10% travel as needed Additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications Include:
5+ years of Product Support, Project, or Electrical Engineering experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Must be a proactive, creative self-starter, and comfortable with ECAD software Proficient in MS Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Excellent time management and organizational skills Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications Include:
Experience with design and manufacture of PCBAs and Cable Assemblies Proven Project Management experience Experience with CAD software Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) experience Manufacturing Engineering experience Background in Lean Manufacturing and Root Cause Corrective Action through formal or relevant experience
