Key Responsibilities
Provide basic nursing care and assist in resident assessments
Document assessments and communicate significant changes to the interdisciplinary team
Participate in the care planning process and implement nursing interventions
Administer medications and treatments safely and timely
Monitor residents' care and identify behavioral changes
Maintain composure during crisis situations
Complete required continuing education hours
Required Qualifications
Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in LPN
Current LPN license in the state of employment
CPR and AED certification (or willing to obtain)
IV certification (or willing to obtain)
Ability to assess basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents
Excellent communication skills
Time management and organizational skills
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to lift heavy objects and transfer patients
Manual dexterity and coordination
Visual acuity to distinguish color
Ability to perform documentation electronically and in writing
