Schedule: 36 hours per week, Nights & Weekends only (Friday through Monday)




Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with float to Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MST) and other like units

Position Summary:

Client is seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care during night and weekend shifts. The RN will primarily work in the Progressive Care Unit and will be required to float to the Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit and other similar units as needed. This role requires a nurse with strong telemetry skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, level 1 trauma facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the PCU and MST units.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing changes and responding appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC electronic health records.
• Float to all like units as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years recent Telemetry RN experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma facility.
• Proven ability to manage complex patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (NJ-RN) License.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.

Additional Requirements:

• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against Influenza and COVID-19, including at least one COVID booster.
• Ability and willingness to float to all like units as needed.
