ER Nurse Job Details

• Location: Puyallup, Washington 98372 (Puget Sound area)
• Facility: Level III Trauma Center, 375 licensed beds (46-bed Emergency Department)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Shift: 12-hour mids/nights (start times: 3:00 PM or 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Assignment Duration: 14 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 2/7/2026)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,880–$2,020 per week
• First-time travel nurses welcome!

ER RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Washington RN license preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI/MOAB
• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, and emergency medication administration
• Traveler Telemetry Competency (must be completed and passed prior to start)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages, including trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, mental health, and high-acuity medical cases
• Perform procedural sedation, blood administration, and cardiac medication administration
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: ER techs, charge/resource nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, pharmacy, and security
• Utilize Epic for electronic charting and Alaris/Pyxis for medication management
• Participate in a comprehensive orientation process with dedicated preceptors and nurse educators
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct (scrub color of choice, modest piercings, non-offensive tattoos permitted)
• Comply with holiday and weekend scheduling requirements as determined by the emergency department
