Key Responsibilities
Provide basic nursing care and assist in resident assessments
Communicate significant changes in resident conditions to the interdisciplinary team
Document assessments and interventions accurately
Participate in the care planning process and update care plans as needed
Administer medications and treatments safely and timely
Use critical thinking skills for changes in resident conditions
Monitor resident care and address problem areas using QAPI process
Assist with residents' activities of daily living (ADLs)
Required Qualifications
Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in LPN certification
Current LPN license in the state of employment
CPR and AED certification (or willing to obtain)
IV certification (or willing to obtain)
Ability to assess basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents
Excellent communication skills
Time management and organizational skills
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to lift heavy objects using proper techniques
Ability to transfer and move patients
Manual dexterity and coordination
Visual acuity to distinguish color
Ability to perform documentation electronically and in writing
