As a Radiology Technologist II at Alameda Health System, you'll perform essential diagnostic imaging procedures under supervision, contributing significantly to patient care in a full-service hospital. Your expertise will support physicians and enhance departmental efficiency through technical proficiency and patient interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment
Conduct general diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic duties
Produce radiographs and position patients
Select proper technical factors for individual patients
Operate imaging equipment as directed
Develop film by automatic processing
Provide radiation safety protection
Assist physician in administering opaque media
Maintain records and cleanliness in the department
Assist in training students and other personnel
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
One year of continuous recent experience as a radiologic technologist
Recent experience in an acute care setting in a full service hospital
BLS - Basic Life Support Certification
Fluoroscopy Permit issued by the State of California Department of Health Services
Valid mammography certification (if applicable)
Valid ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification or equivalent
Valid certificate as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the State of California Department of Public Health
