Job Description

As a Radiology Technologist II at Alameda Health System, you'll perform essential diagnostic imaging procedures under supervision, contributing significantly to patient care in a full-service hospital. Your expertise will support physicians and enhance departmental efficiency through technical proficiency and patient interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment
  • Conduct general diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic duties
  • Produce radiographs and position patients
  • Select proper technical factors for individual patients
  • Operate imaging equipment as directed
  • Develop film by automatic processing
  • Provide radiation safety protection
  • Assist physician in administering opaque media
  • Maintain records and cleanliness in the department
  • Assist in training students and other personnel

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year of continuous recent experience as a radiologic technologist
  • Recent experience in an acute care setting in a full service hospital
  • BLS - Basic Life Support Certification
  • Fluoroscopy Permit issued by the State of California Department of Health Services
  • Valid mammography certification (if applicable)
  • Valid ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification or equivalent
  • Valid certificate as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the State of California Department of Public Health
