Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and implement instructional processes for students with IEPs
Establish a collaborative environment for students and parents
Implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) programs
Record student progress and prepare reports
Provide direct subject-based instruction and co-teaching
Accommodate or modify curriculum for students
Maintain classroom organization and resources
Stay updated with research-based practices
Respond constructively to feedback
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a closely related field
Meet all state teaching license and/or certification requirements
Licensed or in the process of obtaining a special education credential
Prior experience working with curriculum development and differentiation
Knowledge of special education services and compliance
Experience working with students with IEPs
Proven success in developing and implementing effective education plans
Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to make independent decisions in emergencies
Knowledge of instructional technology and Microsoft Office Suite
