Key Responsibilities
Assist Occupational Therapists in providing rehabilitative services to patients
Help patients with exercises and activities to improve strength, balance, and mobility
Observe and document patients' progress and report to the Occupational Therapist
Instruct patients and family members on proper techniques for exercises and equipment use
Communicate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Maintain clean and organized treatment areas
Adhere to all healthcare and safety standards
Participate in regular training and educational opportunities
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
State licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Knowledge of physical therapy techniques, principles, and practices
Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to lift and move equipment
