Service Leaders act as day-to-day leads within the Hannaford To Go department. With support for and from the Hannaford To Go Supervisor, Service Leaders ensure the department operates efficiently and provides an exceptional customer experience. Service Leaders give direction to Expeditors and Shoppers while also operating, hands on, within those roles as needed. As a leader, Service Leaders role model the service excellence we expect of all our associates. Through direction and attention to operational detail, a Service Leader ensures customers receive an exceptional experience during every Hannaford To Go transaction. As a Hannaford To Go Service Leader, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day includes Lead the Hannaford To Go Department operations in accordance with established department Support excellent customer service and goodwill by role modeling and providing high standards in customer service and sales building. Support that department conditions involving appearance, safety, sanitation, and food safety are maintained at the highest level. Use good judgement in the delegation, assignment, and follow up required for the efficient performance of the department. Reports any issues or concerns relative to associate performance or behavior to the Assistant Store Manager. Assist in training and developing associates to meet department needs. Maintain solid communication in the department and with store management. Observe and follow all company policies, established standard practices and legal requirements. Ensure that return-to-stock items are handled in a prompt and orderly manner with the most immediate attention given to refrigerated and other perishable items. Understanding of store operations preferred. Perform repetitive hand and arm motions while standing/walking during the majority of the shift. Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, shellfish, house plants/flowers and household cleaners. ~ Have sufficient visual acuity to read the shopping device display screen as well as check identification cards, checks, invoices, and other written documents.
