A leading integrated academic healthcare delivery system seeks a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support ICU care at its flagship campus. Opportunity Highlights
· Accepting new graduates with prior ICU rotation or training experience
· Join a collaborative team of 7 advanced practice providers supporting cardiothoracic surgery
· Work alongside surgeons and non-surgical providers to manage cardiothoracic surgical patients
· Practice in a non-surgical APP role with no OR time required
· Rotate between 2 weeks of day shifts and 2 weeks of night shifts monthly
· The incoming Cardiothoracic Surgery PA or NP will perform bedside procedures and manage ECMO, LVAD, and post-surgical care
· Conduct initial patient evaluations, including full history and physical exams
· Place invasive monitoring lines, including central lines, dialysis catheters, and arterial access
· Educate patients and families throughout the inpatient course of care
· Receive bonuses, relocation, and extra shift compensation
