PCU Float Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Cape May Courthouse, NJ

Schedule: 36 hours per week, nights, every other week (EOW)

Position Type: Float RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Position Summary:

Client is seeking an experienced Nights EOW PCU Float RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma facility. This role requires a highly skilled nurse capable of providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit during night shifts every other week.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing changes and intervening appropriately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Serve as a float nurse, adapting to various patient care needs within the PCU.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years recent Telemetry RN experience at a busy Level 1 Trauma facility.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (NJ-RN) License (active and in good standing).
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.

Additional Requirements:

• Fully vaccinated for Influenza and COVID-19, including at least one COVID-19 booster dose.
