Key Responsibilities
Direct the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of all food
Plan and price menu items
Order supplies and maintain records
Create decorative food displays
Determine production schedules and staff requirements
Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies
Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas
Instruct cooks and other workers in food preparation
Analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items
Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian
Required Qualifications
Graduated from a reputable culinary institute
At least two years’ experience working as a chef
ServSafe certified
Knowledge of long-term care regulations and requirements
