Job Description
Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator and make a difference in patient care. This role involves managing calls and coordinating care in a supportive environment focused on health equity and community impact.
Key Responsibilities
Verifies and authorizes patient insurance coverage and eligibility
Manages 40-50 incoming calls per day
Schedules and coordinates patient visits and medical procedures
Provides patient education regarding managed care plans
Maintains records and processes administrative paperwork
Required Qualifications
1+ years of customer service and/or call center experience
1+ years of experience working in a healthcare setting or medical office
Working knowledge of general office procedures
Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft applications
Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English/Spanish
