Job Description

Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator and make a difference in patient care. This role involves managing calls and coordinating care in a supportive environment focused on health equity and community impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verifies and authorizes patient insurance coverage and eligibility
  • Manages 40-50 incoming calls per day
  • Schedules and coordinates patient visits and medical procedures
  • Provides patient education regarding managed care plans
  • Maintains records and processes administrative paperwork

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of customer service and/or call center experience
  • 1+ years of experience working in a healthcare setting or medical office
  • Working knowledge of general office procedures
  • Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
