Job Description
As a Clinical Specialist II in Emergency & Urgent Care, you will enhance patient care through education, mentorship, and operational leadership. This role requires clinical expertise to improve patient outcomes and advance best practices in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring patient care and providing clinical support to improve outcomes
Developing and implementing nursing care plans specific to patient needs
Guiding and supporting nursing staff through clinical decision-making
Functioning as a facilitator for best practice, evaluating processes and equipment for safety, cost-effectiveness, and benefits
Collaborating with healthcare teams on complex clinical situations
Providing one-on-one education for nursing staff
Leading quality improvement initiatives through evidence-based practice and research
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Minimum 4 years of acute care nursing experience
Active RN license issued by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing
Graduation from an accredited certification program in specialty (must be obtained within six months)
Maintains certification in BLS and other certifications as appropriate such as ACLS and PALS
