RN Weekender - Float Pool

Our Weekend Flex Program offers an excellent opportunity for flexibility to enjoy personal time, all while providing quality patient care on the weekends. With this schedule, you will work two 12-hour shifts every weekend and one during the week. Weekend shift options start at 7:00PM on Fridays and end at 7:30AM on Mondays. Serving in this role allows you to be with loved ones, fulfill life responsibilities, take care of children and complete anything else that may interfere with a typical weekday workload. Even more, Cleveland Clinic offers 36 hours but will pay you for 44 hours. You also gain full-time status and all our included benefits. A caregiver in this position works weekend days from 7:00AM – 7:30PM, with one day/night requirements. 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Provide direct nursing care. 
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.  
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.  
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments. 
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.  
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. 
• Educate patients and their families.   
• Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing 
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) 
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• Full range of body motion for handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Corrected vision and hearing to normal range
• Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids
• Medium Work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Physical Demand requirements in excess of those for Light Work

• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
