Job Description
Whether it’s providing clean water to more than a billion people on the planet, producing materials that are essential in everyday technology devices from smartphones to electric vehicles, or protecting workers around the world. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our digital products to join our Newark, Delaware team. This role will focus on leveraging data science skills and data visualization tools to drive digital transformation.
Lead the development and maintenance of digital products, ensuring they meet the needs of scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Provide application and deployment support for customized applications using data science algorithms and continuously improving them based on user feedback.
Develop and implement strategies for data visualization and reporting using PowerBI.
Collaborate with various departments, including researcher, marketing, IT, and field services, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of digital products.
Engage with the internal data science community and collaborate with external consultants as needed.
Master’s degree in applied mathematics, computer science, information science and technology, electrical engineering, or a related field.
~2+ years working experience in chemical/material science industry.
~ Strong background in digital product development and maintenance.
~ Experience in project management, including stakeholder management, writing project charters, gathering user requirements, and launching products.
~ Experience with building descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models using big data, statistics, and machine learning.
~ Proficiency in data visualization tools, particularly PowerBI.
~ Basic programming skills in Python and SQL.
~ Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
Familiarity with semiconductor, especially chemical mechanical planarization
Automation tools such as Power App and Power Automate.
Experience with server management, virtual machines, and troubleshooting IT issues.
Familiarity with web development tools and languages, such as Python-based web frameworks, JavaScript, and ASP.NET.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure service platforms and CI/CD for automated deployment pipelines.
