Key Responsibilities
Develops and implements Individual Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities
Implements instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools
Assists students in completing curriculum tasks and IEP goals
Employs various teaching methods and adapts materials to meet student needs
Monitors student behavior and maintains discipline in the classroom
Evaluates student work and adjusts instruction as needed
Attends IEP meetings and collaborates with team members
Stays updated on trends and best practices in education
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university
North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in an Exceptional Children’s teaching area
Preferred Qualifications
First Aid and CPR certifications
Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification
