Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently perform advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures Verify physician order and procedure for accuracy Explain procedures to patients Operate imaging equipment according to protocol Review patient images for diagnostic quality Complete quality control procedures Assist in departmental operations Required QualificationsCompletion of a CAHEA approved formal training program in diagnostic medical sonography Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registry eligible (required within 1 year of hire) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications2 years of sonographer experience Advanced certification in area(s) of specialty according to facility need
