Job Description
Join UC Berkeley as an Executive Assistant, providing high-level administrative support to key academic leaders. You'll play a vital role in facilitating collaboration and strategic initiatives in a dynamic research environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily administrative operations for the executive's office
Manage complex calendars and organize administrative tasks
Implement efficient systems for managing information and communications
Function as the gatekeeper, prioritizing issues
Respond to inquiries from faculty, staff, and students
Coordinate logistics for meetings and strategic events
Prepare confidential reports and briefing materials
Organize ad hoc committees on various issues
Provide support for visitors and guests
Handle university administrative matters
Required Qualifications
Solid analytical/problem-solving skills
Political acumen and sensitivities
Strong service orientation
Effective communication skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
High-level discretion and confidentiality
Problem identification skills
Familiarity with Google and Microsoft Suites
Professional and collaborative relationship maintenance
Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience/training
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with organization's processes and protocols
Knowledge of federal regulations such as FERPA
Thorough knowledge of organization-specific applications
Familiarity with Salesforce
