Apidel Technologies is seeking a local contract nurse RN Telemetry for a local contract nursing job in Detroit, Michigan.
Position: Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Duration: Length: 13 weeks - Extension/Conversion: Possible, depending on performance and manager expectations
Location: Detroit, MI
Shift Timing: 7:00pm-7:30am 3x12s, weekend and holiday availability required.
Notes:
• Working in Observation Unit that requires cardiac/telemetry monitoring.
• Must be able to read strips. This is a high turnover fast paced unit seeing patients with complex cases.
• Ratio 5:1 - 7 to 8 RNs on unit per shift
• Overtime is billed after 48 hours
REQUIRED:
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience, previous experience on an observation unit.
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current MI RN licensure.
Job Summary:
• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Education:
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
