Join Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse II in the Short Stay Surgical unit, where you'll provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families. This role involves administering treatments, evaluating patient conditions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
Implement physician orders and administer medications
Start IVs and perform treatments, procedures, and special tests
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care
Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care
Direct and guide ancillary personnel
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree)
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques
