The OTR Class A Owner Operator at Clean Harbors operates tractor trailer units to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste across the Northeast and other regions as business needs arise. This role emphasizes strict adherence to safety protocols, proper vehicle loading, placarding, and accurate record-keeping including logs and reports. The position offers competitive compensation with paid on-duty time, flexible home time, and requires a Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.

Clean Harbors is looking for a OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join their safety conscious team in Syracuse, NY. Need a flex OO OTR driver who is flexible to run anywhere in Northeast region to OH and flexible to go other lane/regions as and when business requirement arises with minimum 2-3 weeks out. This is strictly not a lane specific requirement.
Weekly Miles - 2800 to 3000
Preferred domicile - Syracuse, Cohoes, Albany in NY or Bristol, CT, Linden, NJ, Cincinnati, OH 

About the role:

• Average $200-250K per year
• Bi-Weekly home time
• Compensation package includes on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• 12+ months of Class A driving experience
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
