Position Summary:

 

A Hospital in Passaic, NJ is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a long-term travel assignment in our Cardiac Catherization Lab. This role is crucial in providing exceptional direct patient care to our adult and geriatric patient populations. The ideal candidate will be adept at addressing the psychosocial, physical, and general care needs of patients in a fast-paced surgical environment. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, focusing on the specific needs of adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
• Communicate continuously with physicians regarding patient conditions and changes.
• Monitor and record patients’ physiologic and hemodynamic data throughout their time in the Cath Lab.
• Ensure the readiness and proper functioning of procedure room equipment.
• Manage and obtain necessary supplies for individual cases to support the Cardiovascular Laboratory team.
• Assist with the maintenance of equipment and inventory.
• Actively participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nursing (RN) License.
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certification.
• At least one (1) year of recent clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab, specifically doing cardiac work, or in a Critical Care area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) .
