About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join a 139-bed community hospital in Huntersville, NC. This is a 13-week travel assignment with a weekend night shift schedule. The ultrasound department is fully equipped and performs approximately 40 procedures daily across two dedicated procedure rooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of ultrasound procedures including general, OB/GYN, high-risk obstetrics, vascular, and pediatric studies
- Operate Samsung ultrasound systems and Trophon disinfection equipment
- Document and communicate findings using EPIC and McKesson systems
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, full-service imaging department
- Maintain compliance with ANSI standards and hospital protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience
- Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, and community hospital settings
- Proficiency in:
- General, abdominal, OB/GYN, high-risk obstetrics
- Renal/pelvis, small parts, vascular (carotid, arterial, venous), Doppler studies
- Pediatric intussusception and appendix
- Neonate/NICU imaging
- BLS certification
- Willingness to work weekends and night shifts
- First-time travelers accepted
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with paracentesis and thoracentesis
- Certifications: RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB, RVT

- No call or float requirements
- Scrubs not provided (Royal Blue required)
- Transport services available 24/7
- RTO (Requested Time Off) is not permitted after booking and cannot be arranged onsite. Call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation and Do Not Return (DNR) status.
- Orientation is one week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Missing any portion may delay or cancel the start.
- Final start date will be confirmed the Tuesday prior to the start week. Candidates must be fully available Wednesday–Friday of the first week to accommodate schedule changes.
