About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Telemetry Unit team. The RN will play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves direct patient care, monitoring cardiac status, and collaborating with physicians to ensure the best outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of nursing practice.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, recognizing and responding to critical changes.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on assessments.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient conditions.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication management, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and safety protocols.
- Oversee and guide the activities of other nursing personnel as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (Telemetry or similar unit preferred)
- BLS & ACLS certifications (Required)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient conditions
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry equipment
