As an Inventory Specialist at Walgreens, you will be responsible for executing and training best practices in inventory management across the store, ensuring optimal stock levels in both front end and pharmacy. You will engage with customers to enhance their experience while maintaining accurate inventory records and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures
Support pharmacy inventory management activities including receiving, counting, and ordering
Ensure accuracy of planograms and inventory counts
Engage customers and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience
Coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes
Maintain compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and preparing for physical inventory
Required Qualifications
Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens or one year of prior retail work experience
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
Achieving expectations rating on last performance review (internal candidates only)
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask and manage execution
Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate
Prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file
