Job Description

As a Navy Chaplain, you will serve as a source of support and spiritual guidance for Sailors and Marines. Your diverse responsibilities include conducting worship services, counseling, and overseeing religious education programs, all while enjoying competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct worship services in various settings
  • Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings, funeral services, and baptisms
  • Counsel individuals seeking guidance
  • Oversee religious education programs
  • Provide spiritual guidance and care to hospitalized personnel and their families
  • Train lay leaders for religious education programs
  • Promote attendance at religious services, retreats, and conferences
  • Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or equivalent
  • Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
  • Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
