Job Description
As an Associate Patient Care Coordinator at Optum, you'll play a vital role in ensuring efficient patient care through tasks like registration, scheduling, and managing insurance verification. Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional service to all customers
Greets patients and manages wait time
Complete check-in tasks including insurance verification
Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles
Manage cashier box and daily deposits
Process walk-in patients and visitors
Answer phones and schedule appointments
Manage medical records and correspondence
Ensure waiting room cleanliness and patient assistance
Work with back-office staff for smooth patient flow
Resolve service issues and complaints
Assist co-workers and team members with duties
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
1+ years of customer service experience
1+ years of Microsoft Office experience
Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a medical office or medical environment
Previous experience with medical insurance
Prior experience with EMR computer applications
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Working knowledge of general office procedures
Bilingual (English / Spanish)
