Key Responsibilities
Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist
Administer non-complex therapeutic exercises and modalities
Document daily, weekly, or monthly records of clients
Attend educational meetings and contribute to department in-services
Notify of any equipment failures or changes in staff/client
Schedule clients and perform office tasks
Apply infection control and universal precautions
Accept clinical assignments consistent with competence
Promote compliance with third-party payors
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association
Current state license to practice Physical Therapy
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation
Proof of current CPR certification
Minimum two years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
Comprehensive knowledge of the physical, emotional, social, and biological changes in the geriatric population
Self-directed and enthusiastic
Good verbal and written communication and organization skills
Professional image/attitude for patients and coworkers
Meets mandatory continuing education requirements
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally
Ability to maintain confidentiality
