Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot equipment problems through observation and testing instruments
Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs
Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems
Follow blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer’s instructions
Perform boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment system testing
Conduct safety checks on boilers and perform necessary repairs
Inspect and maintain motors, belts, and fluid levels
Perform basic welding activities
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledgeable in industrial maintenance of facilities and equipment
Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment
Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
Lockout / Tagout experience
Ability to work overtime as needed
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background preferred
Applicable military experience will be considered
