We are seeking an experienced and dependable PACU Registered Nurse to join a surgical recovery team in Norwalk, California . This is a 13-week contract with opportunity for extension, offering consistent hours and a supportive environment for nurses passionate about post-operative care.

Schedule & On-Call:

• 8-hour shifts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

• On-Call Requirements:

  • Weekdays: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM

  • Weekends: 24-hour call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

  • Call rotates between staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to post-anesthesia patients during recovery

• Monitor patients' vital signs, pain levels, consciousness, and respiratory status

• Manage airways, administer medications, and respond to emergencies

• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and other departments to ensure safe patient transition

• Document nursing interventions and patient progress accurately and timely

• Educate patients and families on post-op care and discharge instructions

Requirements:

• Current California RN License (Required)

• ACLS certification – American Heart Association (Required)

• PALS certification – American Heart Association (Required)

• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience (Preferred)

• Strong assessment, airway management, and critical thinking skills
