Key Responsibilities

• Obtain accurate and updated patient information
• Perform insurance verification on the date of service
• Obtain patient signatures for required documents
• Upload a valid Government issued state ID and patient insurance cards
• File and maintain medical records
• Correct registration work queue errors
• Confirm and schedule appointments
• Answer incoming/outgoing calls
• Perform referral documentation promptly
• Work daily in claims edit work queue
• Schedule specialist and follow-up appointments
• Adhere to Optum Employee Policies
• Work cohesively with team members
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA/OSHA
• Participate in care planning with multidisciplinary team
• Assure continuity of care through scheduling
• Provide effective communication to patients and healthcare professionals
• Notify clinical staff of schedule changes
• Comply with administrative policies for quality of care
• Demonstrate precision in scanning and document management
• Participate in orientation for new employees
