Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Phoenix, AZ 85037 (Arizona healthcare job)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)
• Setting: Medical-Surgical Unit (Med/Surg RN)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780–$1910
• Employment Type: Travel/Locum Tenens Registered Nurse
• On-Call & Weekend: Schedule determined by facility

Med/Surg Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical RN experience required
• Active Arizona RN license (no license hits) – Arizona nursing license required
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) – must be current at time of application
• Flu vaccination required (declinations may be considered)
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Must not have an Arizona home address on driver's license
• Compliance with facility-specific background and credentialing requirements

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical hospital setting
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and clinical progress
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Adapt quickly to fast-paced environments and changing patient needs
