Key Responsibilities
Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard and preventive maintenance
Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems
Complete complex mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision
Replace defective components as instructed
Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints
Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation
Act as mentor for lower-level technicians
Required Qualifications
Basic tools
Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
Basic diagnostics and repairs including AC and electrical systems
2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment
Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
Pass Ryder Drug Test
Pass DOT physical
Pass Ryder road test
Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Vocational or Technical Certification
Three years or more relevant work experience
Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A
