Key Responsibilities

  • Provide front and back-office support
  • Answer phone calls from multiple queues
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Review and process prior authorization requests
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Intake and update demographic information for patients
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments
  • Submit specialists referrals with appropriate clinical information
  • Resolve customer service inquiries
  • Relay messages from patients and providers
  • Handle incoming HMO and FFS referrals
  • Prepare exam rooms for patients

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of medical front office or surgery scheduling experience
  • 1+ years of basic computer software experience
  • 1+ years experience as an MA-R or an MA-C

Preferred Qualifications

  • Surgery scheduling experience
  • EPIC experience
  • Prior authorization experience
