Labor & Delivery RN Job Details – Mesquite, TX

• Location: Mesquite, TX 75149 (Dallas-Fort Worth area)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 21, 2025 – December 20, 2025)
• Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
• Setting: On-Site Hospital
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours: 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570 – $1,680
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrubs: Navy or Royal Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nursys verification required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Labor & Delivery RN
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Basic or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
• BSN degree preferred
• Experience with postpartum care and vaginal examinations is a plus
• Resume, skills checklist, and two professional references required
• Ability to provide care for COVID-19 patients as needed
• Compliance with all onboarding health and background requirements (drug screening, immunizations, etc.)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including fetal monitoring and postpartum assessments
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and provide postpartum nursing care
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and their families
