Job Description
Join Ochsner Health as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist where you'll perform critical tasks such as quality control, patient interaction, and dose administration. Your role is vital in ensuring safe and effective medical exams, making a real difference in patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform quality control on all nuclear medicine equipment
Maintain radiopharmaceutical laboratory
Perform dose calculations and administration for patients
Communicate with patients and staff via telephone and computer
Complete medical/legal documentation
Administer correct dose of radiopharmaceuticals
Maintain clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB)
Current State of Louisiana Nuclear Medicine Technologist License
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
