Job Description

Join Rushford as a Lead Behavioral Health Clinician and make a difference in the lives of clients and families. You'll provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, leading assessments and treatment plans while ensuring access to crucial mental health and substance use services. Key Responsibilities

  • Provides direct client care using individual, group, and family therapy
  • Prepares appropriate medical documentation
  • Assesses and plans care by evaluating psychiatric and psychosocial needs
  • Provides in-home clinical services and crisis intervention
  • Educates clients and family members on available resources
  • Works effectively across programs for clients with mental health and substance use disorders
  • Negotiates level of care with managed care companies
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners
  • Conducts Emergency Evaluations when required
  • Participates in administrative activities and staff education
  • Assumes clinical oversight in manager's absence
  • Takes on leadership responsibilities as directed

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Three years' experience providing direct services to psychiatric patients, substance abuse population
  • Previous experience in assessment, diagnosis, and individual/group therapy and crisis intervention
  • Valid CT driver's license
  • Active Connecticut LCSW, LPC, LADC, or LMFT license
