As the Infant Head Teacher at Stratton Mountain Resort, you will be responsible for the care and development of infants aged 6 weeks to 15 months, ensuring a nurturing and engaging environment. You'll work closely with families and create developmentally appropriate curriculum while enjoying the perks of being part of a vibrant mountain community.
Key Responsibilities
Build relationships with children and families through daily interactions
Ensure age-appropriate activities and schedules are followed
Document infants' needs and development
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum
Maintain a healthy and safe working environment
Attend monthly meetings with Childcare Manager
Complete annual professional development
Train childcare staff on emergency policies
Assist in coordination of emergency procedures
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate or Vermont Career Ladder III
At least 1 year experience in a licensed child care center
Experience with caring for infants
Must be 20 years of age or older
First Aid & CPR certification
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
21 College credits in a related field
