Under the direction of the Laboratory Medical Director and/or Market/Regional Manager, Supervisors are responsible for the technical and/or direct supervision of activities of lab personnel engaged in performing chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Maintains policies and procedures, ensures quality control practices are followed within the Laboratory. Maintains effective interdepartmental and physician relations. Executes work assignment and additional tasks as directed by Support Center functional lead. Performs analyses in hematology, chemistry urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank and microbiology according to expected performance standards. Performs venipuncture, finger stick, or heel stick on identified patients by physician's request in a timely, accurate and caring manner. Keeps documented records current regarding maintenance and quality control. Meets the lab service goals as scheduled or report problems to lab director. Promotes adherence to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and the Corporate Compliance Agreement by monitoring employee performance and identifying and responding to compliance issues. Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.



 

Facility Requirements:

  • Must have their Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
  • Must have Blood Bank / Transfusion Services experience
  • B.A. I B.S. or equivalent in Medical Technology or related clinical field
  • Must have 5 years recent Lab Supervisor experience
  • Must have California MLT license, must be attached to submission
