The RN Float position requires flexibility and collaboration across various units to provide comprehensive patient care. The role involves conducting assessments, delivering patient-centered care, and responding to emergencies in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Seamlessly transition between different nursing units and departments
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and support staff
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions and needs
Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations
Assist with patient placements, admissions, and transfers
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Nursing
1 year as a Registered Nurse
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR) - American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
1 year of clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
ACLS - American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider (if working in a critical care area)
