Key Responsibilities
Analyzes and investigates actuarial questions/problems
Provides explanations and interpretations of current and developing trends in healthcare utilization and costs
Supports efforts to identify affordability opportunities to lower the cost of healthcare for the members we serve
Communicates results and technical concepts to broad audiences
Works with detailed claim and membership data from various sources/data warehouses (e.g. STRATUS)
Creates and maintains actuarial models/reports
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Economics or related field
4+ years of actuarial work experience
Healthcare related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Four or more exams and on track for Associate of the Society of Actuaries or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries designation
Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Excel
Demonstrated basic level of proficiency with coding such as SAS/SQL/R/Python
Proven excellent oral and written communication skills
