As a Documentation Specialist at Valley Bank, you will play a crucial role in preparing and reviewing loan documents, ensuring compliance and accuracy throughout the lending process. Your expertise in commercial lending documentation will facilitate timely support to lenders and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review loan documents
Ensure timely delivery of documents to lenders
Follow-up for missing items needed for loan documents
Perform post-closing follow-ups
Respond to questions regarding loan documentation
Review Line of Credit Renewals and credit memos
Produce and review departmental reports
Record and track fees associated with loans
Provide support to peers and assist in special projects
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of two years' experience in Commercial Loan Documentation or related area
Extensive knowledge of lending terminology and legal documents
Knowledge of lien perfection and recording requirements
Ability to create loan documents
Ability to read and interpret loan-related documents
Basic PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree with related experience
Paralegal Certificate
Familiarity with nCino, Miser, Ilien, Baker Hill, Statewide, and First American Flood Data Services software
