**Job Description: Neuro Stepdown Nurse (Night Shift, 3x12-Hour)**

We are seeking an experienced Neuro Stepdown Nurse to join our team for a night shift position working 3 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). This role requires a high level of clinical expertise and a strong commitment to patient care within a dynamic hospital environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from neurological conditions in the Stepdown unit.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and neurological status, responding effectively to any changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-acute care needs and rehabilitation processes.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using electronic charting systems.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining high standards of care.

**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent nursing experience in a Neuro Stepdown or similar specialty prior to travel assignments.
- Valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license at the time of submission.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale certification.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize ECG rhythms and complete safeMedicate assessments successfully.
- Previous travel experience in a nursing role is preferable but not mandatory.
- Ability to work holidays as scheduled, with a commitment to being a flexible team member.

**Additional Information:**
- Candidates must have one reference from a supervisor, manager, or director in the nursing specialty applying for.
- Background checks will be conducted, and candidates must meet facility compliance standards.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete an onsite orientation and fingerprinting prior to the start date.
