Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure our outside facilities operate at peak efficiency. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various outside plant facilities, contributing to the reliability of America's fastest network.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant cables and hardware
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree
2 or more years of relevant work experience
