Job Description

As an RN Care Specialist at Bethesda Health, you'll provide vital management oversight for multiple nursing neighborhoods, ensuring high-quality resident care while collaborating with healthcare professionals. This role empowers staff and promotes a culture of safety and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management oversight for multiple nursing neighborhoods
  • Promoting collaborative approach with physicians and healthcare disciplines
  • Analyzing problems and offering recommendations
  • Investigating unusual situations/incidents
  • Communicating events requiring administrative attention
  • Assessing staffing requirements for safe resident care
  • Developing and implementing infection prevention and control programs
  • Leading Infection and Prevention Control Committee
  • Conducting incident investigations and maintaining logs
  • Providing counseling and guidance to employees

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN license in the state you will be working
  • Three to four years of recent nursing experience
  • Communication, organization, and planning skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift heavy objects using proper techniques
  • Ability to transfer and move residents weighing 200+ lbs
  • Ability to push and pull equipment over 40 lbs
  • Manual dexterity and coordination
  • Ability to perform necessary documentation
  • Visual acuity
  • Ability to manage a diversity of activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent
  • Completed specialized training in infection prevention and control
  • One year management experience
