Join Lincoln Electric as a Control Systems Engineer at our Cleveland, Ohio headquarters, where you will play a pivotal role in implementing projects and providing support for our Consumable division. Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for control systems including hardware design, software design, documentation, networking, and data acquisition
  • Work with Plant Engineering, MES, IT, Maintenance, and Production teams to support production projects
  • Collaborate with Operations teams on continuous improvement projects
  • Estimate time and cost for new projects
  • Review capital equipment proposals for control systems compliance
  • Provide on-site assistance troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Reduce downtime on production equipment
  • Support network backup and device patching management
  • Manage control system assets inventory
  • Improve system and maintenance performance
  • Review security vulnerabilities and request remediation
  • Compile data from connected devices for organizational use
  • Develop standards for control systems hardware and software
  • Solve complex problems with innovative solutions
  • Work independently with minimal guidance
  • May lead projects or project steps
  • Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues
  • Assume additional responsibilities to support company strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years professional experience
  • Experience with automation hardware and software platforms, including PLC and HMI
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, 70E, NFPA 79, and other technical codes
  • Ability to support and troubleshoot industrial equipment
  • Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments and changing priorities
  • Work effectively with employees on all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and oral communications
