Key Responsibilities
Responsible for control systems including hardware design, software design, documentation, networking, and data acquisition
Work with Plant Engineering, MES, IT, Maintenance, and Production teams to support production projects
Collaborate with Operations teams on continuous improvement projects
Estimate time and cost for new projects
Review capital equipment proposals for control systems compliance
Provide on-site assistance troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
Reduce downtime on production equipment
Support network backup and device patching management
Manage control system assets inventory
Improve system and maintenance performance
Review security vulnerabilities and request remediation
Compile data from connected devices for organizational use
Develop standards for control systems hardware and software
Solve complex problems with innovative solutions
Work independently with minimal guidance
May lead projects or project steps
Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues
Assume additional responsibilities to support company strategies
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
5 years professional experience
Experience with automation hardware and software platforms, including PLC and HMI
Experience with AutoCAD
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, 70E, NFPA 79, and other technical codes
Ability to support and troubleshoot industrial equipment
Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills
Ability to handle a variety of assignments and changing priorities
Work effectively with employees on all levels of the organization
