Job Description
As a Transportation Supervisor at Sysco, you will lead and manage the delivery team, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. Your role includes overseeing daily operations, managing schedules, and enhancing team performance through effective communication and training.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Manage labor hours and consumables within budget
Prepare work schedules and oversee the use of company assets
Review delivery functions and suggest efficiency improvements
Communicate with Sales Management and Marketing to resolve delivery issues
Conduct regular meetings and maintain open communication with associates
Coordinate with the Safety department for training and inspections
Execute management functions such as performance reviews and terminations
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
1-3 years related experience or training
Complete a Sysco approved defensive driving program
Preferred Qualifications
2 or 4-year college degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management
