Get to Know Your Team: 

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

• The Medical Lab Technician(MLT) functions as a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for the performance of clinical laboratory testing that pertains to patient care and diagnosis.
• This position performs routine and special laboratory procedures, quality control, preventative maintenance, minor equipment repairs, inventory control, and statistical compilation.
• Will additionally participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, laboratory education, new employee training, and proficiency testing when assigned.

Job Requirements

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technician studies, or a chemical, physical or biological science associate degree.

• ASCP or equivalent.

  • Certification must be maintained without lapse during employment.

• If certification does lapse, the job will be downgraded to Medical Laboratory Technician (non-certified) until certification is reinstated.

• Current knowledge of clinical laboratory techniques and principles.

• Previous clinical laboratory experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Scientist within a clinical laboratory.

Pay Range Minimum: $22.15/Hr.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
