Key Responsibilities
Plan approach to experiments in support of research projects
Independently conduct experiments and maintain detailed records
Interpret and perform analyses of experiment results
Review literature and apply learnings to research
Contribute to publication of findings and prepare written documents
Assist with general lab maintenance and manage chemical inventory
Train new staff or students on lab procedures
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related scientific field
General understanding of scientific principles
Ability to maintain detailed records of experiments and outcomes
General computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs, databases, and scientific applications
Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance
Excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in immunology and molecular biology
Ability to supervise and train lab helper and students
Ability to troubleshoot lab equipment malfunctions
Ability to keep inventory of supplies and place orders
Ability to write technical material in scientific language
Skills in conducting literature search and retrievals
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
Preferred experience with flow cytometry data analysis software
Preferred experience with statistical software such as GraphPad Prism or R
Ability to work independently
